In my trouble my voice went up to the Lord, and my cry to my God: my voice came to his hearing in his holy Temple, and my prayer came before him, even into his ears.

What has God done for man?

We live in a world full of problems and everyone would like to have a -recipe- even for the knowledge of God . However things are quite simple : DO NOT expect anything from people! Take from the living God , take from the Lord Jesus Christ , who passed through difficulties , like us, and He overcame them.

Have you ever thought that He , the Lord Jesus Christ :
- was born in a manger-could this be easy?
- did not write books-although most of the written books speak about Him;
- did not found schools- but His disciples are countless; - it is said about Him that He committed no sin; by preaching the Kingdom of God, He taught, He healed people, He raised the dead- being rewarded by us with a cross between two criminals;
-He committed no sin and no deceit was found in His mouth. When they hurled their insults at Him, He did not retaliate; when He suffered He made no threats. Instead , He entrusted Himself to Him who judges justly- ( 1 Peter 2.22-23)
- overcame the death, rising from the dead the third day after having been killed- and He was taken up to heaven.

The Lord is slow to anger and he overlooks the ignorance. He urges us to approach Him, to look for Him and He will let Himself to be found. Salvation is the change given by God as a gift , so that we may be delivered from the power of sin; it is the reconciliation with God, that we get on the ground of the sacrifice of the Lord Jesus Christ and , moreover, it is the promise of the eternal life.

For God so loved the world . . .

. . that He gave His one and only Son, that whoever believes in Him shall not perish, but have eternal life. For God did not send His Son into the world to condemn the world, but to save the world through Him
John 3.16-17

So, what should we do?

Although we do not like this advise, although it is used in all the churches-, however the first words that the Lord Jesus said , as it is written in the first gospel (Matthew), were these: -REPENT, for the Kingdom of Heaven is near-

ACCEPTANCE

You have to wish a life with God for yourselves, in order to be able to accept His words. You have to accept that the Lord Jesus is the Christ, that is the Son of God. If He is the Son of God, then His words become important and valuable and you will give them the due importance- otherwise we stick only to the history, or to a simple story.

COMMITMENT (SURRENDER) -

Implies a fully aware decision. The Lord Jesus said: -It is not the healthy who need a doctor, but the sick- For I have not come to call the righteous, but sinners-

SIN

God never says to you:-you have killed- or -you have stolen-. It is your heart that gives you no rest. In the eyes of God sin can be even an anger or something you have done in secret , without the knowledge of your friend.
FOR EXAMPLE: a certain thing is not a sin before God if it can be shouted out from the roof of the house, so that everybody can see and hear it. Put yourselves to the test! God says: -There is no one righteous, not even one-

REPENTANCE

-But He was pierced for our transgressions, He was crushed for our iniquities; the punishment that brought us peace was upon Him, and by His wounds we are healed. We all, like sheep, have gone astray, each of us has turned to his own way; and the Lord laid on Him the iniquity of us all- (Isa.53.5-6)

FAITH

A conclusion of those mentioned above remains the first step towards God, namely to trust in Him, in the lord Jesus Christ and to believe His words.
-I tell you the truth, unless you change and become like little children, you will never enter the Kingdom of heaven- (Mat.18.3)

PRAY TO GOD

If those mentioned above make sense to you and if you wish your life to be changed by God, tell Him in prayer about your life, about your sins and about your problems. Do this quietly, commit all your problems to Him. You will never be disappointed !
